8. Call Screening Service

Our app uses the Phone Call Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_PHONE_CALL) to monitor incoming, ongoing, and ended calls for call screening purposes. This service runs in the foreground to ensure real-time call state detection, which is essential for providing accurate caller details and logging call activity.

This feature is necessary because background services cannot reliably monitor call state, and real-time processing is required to deliver a seamless user experience.

The foreground service is only active when needed and stops when the call ends.

The foreground service does not record calls, intercept private conversations, or perform any unauthorized actions. It strictly adheres to Google Play’s policies and is only active during active phone calls.

• We access your contacts list to display caller information for incoming and outgoing calls.

b) Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE)

• We access your phone state to detect incoming, outgoing, and missed calls.
• This allows the app to provide call screening, call monitoring, and call status tracking.
• We do not record or intercept your calls in any way.
